Playtime with A & T

Yesterday Reagan and I headed over to Barnes and Noble to meet up with Andrea E. and her cutie Toby (2.5).  Toby dove into the train station while Reagan climbed all over Andrea and worked hard to de-shelve any books within eyesight.

Oh, and Reagan had a weight check this morning: she is now weighing 17.5 lbs and has graduated to the 11th percentile :-) She's grown 1/3 inch in 6 weeks - 27.5 in.  (10 month +7 days old)

A Sea of Babies at Sola Coffee Bar Reagan and I met up with some ladies and babies at Sola Coffee Bar for the Scottsdale Moms Blog Meetup Group! The babies had so much fun crawling around together on the floor... getting into everything! Carter was the dare-devil of the group, venturing to the door first. Everyone else followed his daring lead. Reagan had something on her eye, so Nora was getting it for her. Buddies. So, we kind of took over the coffee shop. Not much sitting down going on here. We were all standing around corraling babies or soothing cryers. We were still able to chat...

Learning vs. Teaching As I continue my journey towards the education of my children (well, child), I am surprised by how much I am learning. It's not that I think I "know it all." It's just that I never thought about doing anything different with my own children than what I experienced growing up: tradition public school. (Wake up, go to school, move from subject to subject, memorize facts, take a test, bells and 20 minutes of play.) But, the more I learn about HOW we all learn and especially how children learn, it makes me realize where my own education fell short...
